A lot has happened since Gamingoase was founded in 2009.
While the focus initially focused exclusively on the distribution of video games, the product portfolio was steadily expanded over the first few years. So gradually video game consoles, computer peripherals and other consumer electronics were added. First partnerships with larger distributors can be closed, enabling even better prices.
Since 2011 the shop carries the Trustedshops logo, which reflects a high degree of customer satisfaction and the fulfillment of the highest quality criteria.
In 2013, the company welcomes its 50,000th customer. Large contracts with logistics service providers such as DHL or Deutsche Post as well as freight forwarders allow further savings in favor of better end prices for the company's customers.
In 2015, we can now look back on more than 75,000 successful orders. In recent years, further partnerships have been signed with Europe's largest distributors, enabling a continuous expansion of the business area. Gamingoase now offers digital cameras, high-quality system cameras and accessories as well as tablets and TV sets in all sizes.
The shop will receive a new design in June 2015 which includes many new features such as: an optimized presentation on mobile devices as well as a clearer and faster navigation through the shop pages. In addition, customers now have the option to book an extension of their manufacturer's warranty during the purchase process through newly concluded partnerships with various insurance companies.
In November 2016, the sound barrier of 100,000 customers is cracked. The turnover and the number of employees of the company has been increasing for years, which indicates healthy growth. In the 2016 financial year, a trading volume of approx. 6.5 million euros will be achieved. In the meantime, Gamingoase also offers item goods in the B2B sector. The customer base in the business customer area continues to grow due to the reliable and service-oriented processing of orders. Growing purchasing volumes mean that large positions can now be offered significantly below the usual market prices, something more and more our customers appreciate.
The year 2017 was another milestone in the development of the company. Thanks in part to a premium cooperation with the Amazon Group and the expansion of distribution channels to other European countries, sales volumes reached a double-digit million euro amount for the first time (approximately € 17.5 million). In addition, the planning of a new company building including a larger warehouse is completed. The new building will meet the requirements created by the increased number of employees and the increased space required for warehousing and is expected to be available from summer 2018.
